Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter, Farryl Purkiss, has cracked the nod from Hollywood. “Sticks and Stones”, a track from Purkiss’ eponymous debut album, has been selected to feature on popular ABC television series, Private Practice.

“Stick and Stones” features in the fifth episode of season three entitled “Strange Bedfellows” which will air in South Africa on MNet on August 9th 2010.

Private Practice, a spin-off TV series of the mega-popular Grey’s Anatomy, follows the life of Doctor Addison Montgomery (played by Kate Walsh) as she leaves Seattle Grace Hospital to join a private practice in Los Angeles. The TV series is currently the 38th most popular TV series in the USA with approximately 9.05 million viewers in that country alone.

2010 has been an exciting year for Purkiss with highlights including his first South African Music Award (SAMA) win, the second single, “Kissing Devils On The Cheek”, from his latest album, “Fruitbats & Crows”, receiving widespread acclaim from fans, media and radio alike with playlisting on national station, 5fm, as well as its video peaking at #2 on MK and international touring later in 2010.
