Kwaito stars TKZee, will perform with an 8-piece band at this year’s Cape Town International Jazz Festival. The trio is said to be upping its game to deliver a memorable performance at the prestigious yearly festival.
They will fight a battle for recognition with a host of revered musos, including George Benson, Lira, Jonathan Butler, Ronny Jordan Organ Trio, Vusi Mahlasela, Brooklyn Funk Essentials and Rachelle Ferrell.
As in previous years, this year's festival will feature 40 bands, equally split between African and overseas artists, on five stages over two days. Ticket prices for the 2010 festival are R330 for single-day pass and a two-day weekend pass is R485. An extra fee of R25 per act will be charged for patrons wishing to attend concerts on the Rosies stage.
The festival takes place during Easter, on Saturday, 3 and Sunday, 4 April 2010 and tickets are available at Computicket Shoprite and Checkers stores.
