Just a few weeks after he appeared in the SABC 1 music TV show, Live, it is with great sadness to announce the passing of former Abashante rapper, Tebogo 'Zombo' Ndlovu. The once popular member of early kwaito group passed away on Sunday the 18th February 2008, from an Aids-related illness.

Zombo, died at St Francis Care Centre in Benoni, Johannesburg. He was admitted at the centre not long after DJ Sbu and 999 Records owner, who is also Zombo's former boss, Arthur Mafokate, started a benefit fund for him.

Zombo, recently made headlines when he publicly disclosed his HIV status in a Sunday newspaper, which he later confirmed in a live television interview.

Zombo broke into the music scene as rapper artist for early Kwaito group, Abashante. He later ventured into a solo career that never really took off.

May his soul rest in peace!
